I've never met Jeremy McGhee but I already like him. He shares the No Barriers mindset that I advocate so tirelessly. Jeremy is paralyzed from the waist down and has set out the goal of skiing Bloody Couloir near Mammoth Lakes, California. This backcountry descent requires a 4.5-mile approach with 2,200 feet of elevation gain just to get to the bottom. Then you climb straight up up the 2,600-foot chute before you ski down it. Oh and by the way, a good portion of the the slope is 45° (most double black diamond ski runs are around 40°).
Jeremy hasn't done it yet but I have no doubt that he will. Once a pioneer with a No Barriers mindset establishes a goal, there is no stopping him or her! Check out this great video of his training and follow his blog:
